Wolves Visit "Girls In The Game" Camp

Volunteers of the Chicago Wolves brought smiles to the faces of the Girls in the Game campers on July 17, 2012 when they visited the Sports and Leadership Summer Camp at Union Park. The five volunteers and Skates, the Wolves mascot, played ball tag, practiced zig-zag puck handling, and scrimmaged with the girls. They also participated in track and field activities and discussed the importance of sportswomanship.

Skates, the mascot, was a huge hit with the girls. They had a great time playing with him throughout the day.

At the end of the day, one volunteer said, “I enjoyed watching the girls work together. They were a great team!” Another added, “Volunteering with Girls in the Game made me proud to be a part of the Wolves and gave me insight on one of our charities.” Many thanks to the Wolves for spending time at camp and helping to give so many girls the summer of their lives!
