Wolves Sign Two

The Chicago Wolves have signed forwards RYAN JARDINE and ANTOINE ROUSSEL. In addition, the team has assigned JARDINE to the Central Hockey League’s Missouri Mavericks.

JARDINE ranked third on the team with a career-high 23 goals, 31 assists and 54 points in 66 CHL games with Missouri last season. He also posted five goals and 11 points in nine postseason matchups last year.

The Ottawa, Ont., native spent the previous three seasons playing in the Italian League. He registered 30 goals, 43 assists and 73 points in 85 contests with Bolzano from 2007-2010.

The 31-year-old forward has tallied 62 goals, 130 points and 215 penalty minutes in 304 career AHL contests with the Louisville Panthers, Utah Grizzlies and San Antonio Rampage, spanning five seasons (2000-2005). He also has skated in eight National Hockey League games with the Florida Panthers (2001-02).

ROUSSEL posted seven assists, eight points and 88 penalty minutes in 42 AHL outings with the Providence Bruins during his professional debut. He also skated in five ECHL games with the Reading Royals, accruing one assist. Prior to turning pro, the 21-year-old forward tallied 59 goals, 80 assists, 139 points and 417 penalty minutes in 252 career QMJHL contests with Chicoutimi Sagueneens, spanning four seasons (2006-10).

In accordance with team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The Wolves will open their 18th season in Texas when they battle the San Antonio Rampage at the AT&T Center on Sat., Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. The club will face the Milwaukee Admirals for the team’s home opener, presented by LifeSource, at the Allstate Arena on Sat., Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. For more information on ticket packages, visit chicagowolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
